The Naval Sea Cadet Corps and Navy League Cadet Corps offer a nautically oriented training program for young Americans, ages 10 through 18. The program allows young people to sample military life with no obligation to join any branch of the armed forces. Through organization and cooperation with the Navy, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps, the program seeks to encourage and aid American youth to develop an interest and skill in basic seamanship and in its naval adaptations, to train them in seagoing skills, and to teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance and kindred values in a drug-, gang- and alcohol-free lifestyle.
The Capitol Battalion has both the NLCC and the NSCC cadets. We believe in the ability of our youth to succeed. Our programming and activities are designed to help our cadets reach their goals and fulfill their highest potential. We are proud of all of our cadets and love watching them grow into high-achieving, confident individuals. See how we’re involved in making a difference in the lives of today's youth.
